SWEET!! On to the Next Trade

WOW This is awesome. My new friend Robyn saw the ad on Craigslist for the Pendant and just had to have it. I guess the market for hand made glass pendants is a pretty hot one right now because she was willing to part with her wireless keyboard and mouse. I really hope she has a back up.

So now I have a wireless keyboard and mouse I have a good use for these, I'm still wired. Oh wait... I have to keep trading. OK I know a lot of people that are still wired so some lucky person is going to get this wonderful piece of technology.

My First Trade

Yeah! The first trade has been made!

I placed my ad on Craigslist and my new friend Jen had the most unbelieveable trade for me. Jen makes her own jewlery (please check her out at http://www.spurtiic.blogspot.com/) and told me that she had a fused glass pendant that she would love to trade for my pencil. She had heard about the red paperclip project and was siked that someone else was giving a go at it.

Jen invited me to her office and to my surprise she not only had a fused glass pendant for me but second pendant. I was stoked.

I wish I could of given them to my wife as a present but in the name of the game I must let them go.

As soon as they get posted to Craigslist I will copy a link to the blog.

A New World Record

I am out to set a New World Record for the most successful Internet trade.

First off let me introduce myself, My name is Kyle Morgan, I'm 32 years old, I have a pretty mundane job and lets just say other than my wonderful family my life is a bore (or should I say was a bore). During my breaks at work I do a lot of reading when about a month ago I came across an article that inspired me.

The article was about a man by the name of Kyle MacDonald. Kyle decided to see if he could trade one red paperclip for a house. Needless to say after 1 year and 14 trades later, he had his house. Shortly after that "The Guinness Book of World Records" recognized him as the record holder for the most successful Internet trade.

My goal now is to break that record. So I am going to start out not with a paperclip (Kyle proved it could be done with a paperclip) but with a Yellow Golf Pencil. In order to break the record I will need to trade for something bigger or better than the 3 bedroom house Mr. MacDonald traded for. I am open to all trade ideas, a yacht, an office building or maybe an airliner but I am partial to just a bigger and better house.
All my trades will be done via craigslist and I will post the links to the ad's here on my blog for easy access. I will do my best to make all trades in person but due to having a full time job that doesn't just give time off. I can't promise anything.
